Combining the visual stylings of Brian De Palma, musicality of Mötley Crüe and lyrical complexity of Crazy Frog, this trailer is an assault on the senses. You’re welcome.

To celebrate the forthcoming Season 1 of Snow Crash — the first experience in the virtual gaming playground of Neolyfe — we’re proud to unleash this finely crafted trailer on our unsuspecting community. An adrenaline-filled montage of gameplay moments, it also features our partners Solana, Magic Cube and Colosseum on customisable in-game billboards 👍.

After the jump are just some of the questions we received in early audience testing…

My eyes! What did I just watch?
This is the trailer for Snow Crash, a fast-paced downhill racer, inspired by classic arcade games of the 1980s and underpinned by web3 technology.

Who created the trailer?
They’ve asked to have their names removed from the production, but you can be sure they’re very talented, dedicated people and not at all litigious.

So, what do you do in Snow Crash?
Having just watched the trailer you may be surprised to learn that Snow Crash is a downhill ski and snowboard racing game.

In Season 1, you’ll compete against other players to clock the fastest time down Mt Splat.

The faster your time, the higher up the leaderboard you’ll go, the greater your chances of scoring a prize. It’s that simple.*

What kinds of things can I win?
NFTs, cash prizes, physical prizes, respect and admiration. We recently launched the MVP at Solana’s Buildstation (and won a prize for our efforts thanks very much). The guy who topped the leaderboard at that event walked away with an actual branded snowboard:

And here he is taking it out for the first time** with a state-of-the-art GoPro camera:

I want to play! How do I get in?
Head to neolyfe.com/snowcrash, add your wallet and email addresses and hit SUBMIT. This registers you for early access to the game and puts you in the cool runnings for first bite at prizes and collectibles.

If the game is inspired by the 1980s why does the music in the trailer sound like Blink 182
It’s a well known fact*** that Blink 182 were directly influenced by bands like Whitesnake, Twisted Sister and Poison. So there.

*It may not be that simple
**This is actually snowboarding expert,
Malcolm Moore. Please don’t sue us Malcolm
***How well known is debatable
